Mushrooms Millet 40 Days of Vegan Fasting Day Twenty-Three

Today’s recipe is another for my Vegan Fasting Diet. You will need:

200 grams of Millet
150 grams of Mushrooms
1 Onion
1 Green Pepper
3 Cups of Water
2 Pinches of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Honey
1 Teaspoon of Worcestershire Sauce
1 Pinch of Black Pepper
1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil

In a medium pot put 3 cups of water, with the Millet and a pinch of salt. Let it cook on a medium fire for 20 to 30 minutes until the millet is cooked and the water is evaporated.

In a pan heat up the Olive Oil and add the chopped onion to sauté it lightly. Next add the chopped green pepper and keep on sautéing. Right after add the chopped mushrooms and keep on sautéing until the mushrooms shrink. Season it with pinch of salt and pinch of black pepper.

 

A minute before you take the pan off the fire, add the teaspoon of honey and Worcestershire Sauce. Keep on sautéing for another minute and the mushroom stew is ready.

Add it on top of the Millet and mix the whole thing together. The meal is ready.
